Analytical Formulae for Radar Cross Section of Flat Plates in near Field and Normal Incidence
نویسندگان
چکیده
Radar Cross Section is most of the time defined in far field. In that case, RCS is totally independent of the range between the radar and the target. However, in several kinds of military scenario, it can be more realistic to deal with the target nearfield scattering characteristics. Using a relation to define near-field RCS, this communication proposes simple and approximated analytical formulas to express monostatic near-field RCS of perfectly conducting flat targets observed in normal incidence. † Also with IREENA, Polytech’Nantes, La Chantrerie, rue C. Detection Of Unknown Targets Using DSSS-Imaging RADAR System
The DSSS radar is operational at our Institute using WiFi ‘b’ adapters and external horn at carrier frequency of 2.4 GHz. The system is able to detect a person, tree leaves, thin rod etc. The radar is tested using Flat plates of different cross sections and it results in a straight line curve will be very much useful in quantifying the target scattering parameters. Even this linear equation can...
متن کاملApplication of quantum technology in radars
In this paper, the use of quantum technology in the radar system and the advantages of these radars as compared to classical radars have been analyzed. In the beginning, briefly, we present the basic structure of the theory of quantum electrodynamics, and then the role of photon in this theory and photon interactions is presented. In the next step, the most general form of the quantum radar cr...
متن کاملFlexible metamaterial absorbers for stealth applications at terahertz frequencies.
We have wrapped metallic cylinders with strongly absorbing metamaterials. These resonant structures, which are patterned on flexible substrates, smoothly coat the cylinder and give it an electromagnetic response designed to minimize its radar cross section. We compare the normal-incidence, small-beam reflection coefficient with the measurement of the far-field bistatic radar cross section of th...
متن کاملMonopole Antenna Radar Cross Section Reduction with Plasma Helix
In this paper, a new method for radar cross section reduction of a monopole antenna is proposed. In this method, a plasma helix like fluorescent bulbs is placed around the antenna element. The selected plasma parameter for this medium acts as an absorber without disturbing the antenna performance. The simulations show that radar cross section of simulated antenna is reduced in a wide frequency ...
متن کاملComputation of Physical Optics Integral by Levin’s Integration Algorithm
In this paper, a novel algorithm for computing Physical Optics (PO) integrals is introduced. In this method, the integration problem is converted to an inverse problem by Levin’s integration algorithm. Furthermore, the singularities, that are possible to occur in the applications of Levin’s method, are handled by employing trapezoidal rule together with Levin’s method. Finally, the computationa...
